In Overland Park, Kansas, an Uber driver is being charged after he sexually assauletd a Kansas-City area woman.
The Overland Police Department had said that the victim reported she took an Uber home in the evening because she had been drinking. She was sitting in the backseat when she awoke to the driver on top of her.
Prosecuters had charged Mechamed Gayusi, 37, with aggravated sexual battery after the incident.
Gayusi was arraigned and his bond was set for $25,000. He had been ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device and is unable to drive for Uber or any other taxi like company while out on bail.
